Programs Friends at Home: Special Friends At Home is the core of our program. Every week teenage volunteers visit children in their homes, offering friendship and engaging in exciting activities. Teens are professionally trained by volunteer medical and health professionals before taking the role of valuable friend and mentor to the children. The Friends at Home program gives volunteers the chance to get to know their Special Friends in the environment they are most comfortable in: their own homes.Together they can bake cookies, play games, create arts and crafts items, read books, or anything else the friends can dream up. With so many opportunities to have fun together with their volunteer, it is no wonder children very often wait all week for the moment their friend turns up on their doorstep! Sunday Circle: The Children's Sunday Circle takes place once a month. Parents leave their child in the hands of qualified professionals and loving teen volunteers. In addition to Jewish content, Celebrating the upcoming Jewish holiday, the children and their special friends enjoy music, art, sports, dance, and more. Unique to S.
